Licensee Reform Upgrade
If you are already acting as a licensee-in-charge of a real estate business, you will automatically receive a class 1 agent licence when the reforms came into effect on 1 July 2022. Renewal of your licence will be conditional on completing the seven core units from the qualification known as CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management) this must be done by 1 July 2024.
Those with a current Class 2 licence looking to advance to a Class 1 licence must complete the entire CPP51122 Diploma, comprising of 12 units.
A Class 1 licence allows you to operate a real estate agency and employ Class 2 agents and assistant agents.
