Is CPD compulsory?

A condition of your renewal, you need to undertake continuing professional development (CPD) every year.

The CPD requirements are listed in the Agents (Continuing Professional Development) Guideline 2022 (No 2)

What are the due dates for CPD?

If you are a licensed agent (class 1 or 2) your must complete your CPD between 1 July & 30th June the following year.

If you are an Assistant Agent you must complete your CPD between 1 November & 30th October the following year.

How many points must I complete a year?

In total you must complete 12 points each year which must incorporate a “category 3” which equates to 8 points and is a full unit of competency.

Then you can complete another category from the approved list such as “category 2” which is 4 points.
