Main ARCHER Components

Here are the software deliverables from the ARCHER project.

  1. Read the ARCHER Overview to determine which components you need.
  2. Read the System Administrator’s Guide for each component to learn the installation process and pre-requisites.
  3. Download the component package from the “Installation” column. Everything required to install the component is in the package. Note that this page will not be updated as development continues, so check the listed links for later versions.
  4. Source code and developer documentation is under “For developers”. This is not required for installation.

Distribution host files

The ADS-IL installation process requires access to files on a "distribution host". Two are available:

A new distribution host can be created by copying the following directories from one of the above hosts. See the ARCHER Overview  guide for more information.

/pacman/VDT/vdt_181.mirror/

A copy of the standard VDT 1.8.1 libraries.

/pacman/jcu/vdt_181/

ARCHER-specific VDT customisations developed by JCU.

/RPM/

ARCHER-specific custom RPM modules.
